Mic Righteous “Fire In The Booth Part 3”

Mic Righteous drops his third fire in the booth and sets new levels.

Well its been quite a week for the fire in the booth series, with the first D&B cypher in the booth and the cast of new movie “The Intent” throwing down their cypher in the booth. The levels keep reaching brand new heights, as the bar keeps getting re set.

Its “MC” month on BBC 1 Xtra and the team are not letting us down. Mic Righteous stepped up yesterday for his third spin in the booth and wow! This is one of the great fire in the booths that we will all continue to talk about months from now.

Just over 14 minutes in length and packing raw, naked emotion, Mic doesn’t slow down or take his foot of the gas once. The first track saw Mic going in with raw, honest lyricism summing where he has been emotionally over the last 12 months or so. This is all topped off by a flawless acapella, which is even more hard hitting with out an instrumental bed.

Promising us a very special surprise, Charlie Sloth gets Mic to drop the surprise early. He has a new album “Dreamland” dropping really soon, are you excited? If you have heard his new track “Survivor” you will know this new album is going to be a classic!

Part three of the session, sees Mic waxing lyrical on a laid back soul number. Keeping the subject matter varied taking in everything from his home town, school days, through to family issues. This truly is fire in the booth at its finest, wow!

Confidence is the key to being a great Mc, Mic Righteous pushes this to the max though. When after his first track he says:

“Now who’s the best me, Bugzy, Kano or Wretch”.

Is the best fire in the booth yet, or just another great moment for fire in the booth? You decide..
