Stormzy shows the world his softer side with brand new track ‘Birthday Girl’

Stormzy has released a smooth new song called ‘Birthday Girl’, dedicated to his girlfriend Maya Jama.

Already being met with a mixed reaction, people claiming Stormzy has gone soft on us. I think its great that a grime artist who has the whole world hanging on every single tweet and liking every instagram post he posts, has the ability to change things up like this. This isn’t the first time that Stormzy has given us a flawless R&B, grime meets slow jam track. Serenading his special lady through out the track giving us loved up lyrics.

A perfect laid back, mellow production delivered effortlessly by ‘Sons Of Sonix’. Stormzy shows how versatile he is, switching things up with soft, loved up lyrics that when your single like me, its all a bit where is the sick bucket. All jokes aside this is a beautiful track that i am sure 99.9% of girls out there, would melt knowing this was written for them.

Stormzy is really fast becoming what LL Cool J is to HipHop. A seriously hard Mc with lyrics for days, who can body most Mcs out there. Then he can switch on his softer side for the ladies. Stormzy continuing to show that he really is the future of grime.
