Skatta vs Drastiik – Round One.

Shots fired as Skatta fires back on Drastiik.

Sending season has started in the UK and i am on the edge of my seat with anticipation.

Stateside Nicki Minaj has gone toe to toe with Remy Ma now closer to home Drastiik sends for Coventry’s Skatta now Skatta has bounced back with a serious send back.

I don’t know the full history behind this clash, round one has been pure fire though. Last week saw the London based Drastiik send for Coventry’s Skatta with a fierce diss record. Going for the Potter Payper look he went in with his first send. A mixed reaction across youtube for and against this first offering from Drastiik. Personally i can’t lie, i wasn’t feeling it as much as i was expecting to. The production could have been stronger and more clarity lyrically wouldn’t have gone a miss. This is round one though so Drastiik show us what you are made of bro…

Skatta not to be out done or to ignore a send like this bounced back with an epic send back. First coming to my attention on the breathtaking remix of the Streets ‘Has It Come To this’. He has been firmly leading the charge showing that Grime isn’t just a London thing, the Midlands have some serious talent with Skatta at the top of that list.

Where do we even start with this send back, a serious choice of beat that had me screw facing like a badman. Not holding back with some witty one liners the opening hook: ‘I’m more know in your ends than you’ sets the tone and the rest, jeeezzzzzz.. A mixture of flows, single time, double time, tongue twisters and sledge hammer punchlines all get throw in to this.

Skatta has delivered the knock down blow in round one, will Drastiik he make it up before the count of 10? Drastiik its on you bro for round two, lets be having you..
